Serie B, Lecce and Cremonese promoted to A: the situation for the playoffs

It all seemed to have vanished into thin air for Cremonese, after two defeats in the last three matches. Instead, on the last day of the championship, they took advantage of Monza’s misstep against Perugia. Pisa and Monza, respectively in third and fourth place, will already be in the semifinals of the playoffs. Brescia, Ascoli, Benevento and Perugia also qualify for the quarter-finals.

Below is the picture of the playoffs:

The winner of Ascoli-Benevento will challenge Pisa. While the winner between Brescia and Perugia will challenge Monza. The two teams remaining from their respective blocks will compete in the final.

From Serie A only Venezia seems close to relegation to Serie B, which could arrive in the next round. The fight not to be relegated becomes more and more interesting after Genoa’s success against Juventus. Salernitana, Genoa and Cagliari: three teams but only one will remain in the top flight.
