Verona, Verdi: “I want to prove my worth”

The new Verona forward, Simone Verdi, has given a long interview to the Gazzetta dello Sport. The former Salernitana player, told of his upcoming seasonal goals for both teams and personal. Below, the words of the Scaligero striker:

On the club’s goals:

My goals are tied to those of the club. Which are the salvation and then take away some other satisfaction. I want to contribute, do well to achieve my goal: to be bought. The two are linked“.

On the numbers:

If we look at my story, the year I played the most in Bologna I scored 10 goals and 10 assists. I have been coming from seasons in which I scored little, but in Salerno I made 5 in 15 appearances. Let’s say that I would settle for at least 5 goals and 5 assists as a base, then obviously I hope to do more. The ideal would be to follow the Bologna season. And I think I can do it here because I feel I have arrived in the right environment to return to expressing myself to the fullest ”.
