The protagonist of “The Poet of the Week” after the twenty-fifth round of Serie A is the offensive winger of the Lazio Mattia Zaccagni. Against the Bologna the former Verona scored his first double in biancoceleste: two goals as a true striker, he who is not an attacker.
He has reached 6 goals in the league (he scored the first two with the Verona shirt): in 19 games played he has already exceeded last season’s tally (5 goals in 36 games). In Sunday’s match he signed all three of Lazio’s markings: in addition to the brace, in fact, Zaccagni also obtained the penalty that led to the 3-0 of Property.
The winger born in ’95 began the season at Verona, and then moved to the capital in the last days of August. His acclimatization was not the easiest, given the thigh and knee problems. Then he began to carve out his space, taking on the role of starter on the left day after day in the trident of Sarri: December’s goals against Sassuolo e Genoa they marked a turning point.
For the Tuscan technician Zaccagni must attack the goal more and take the shot more often, only in this way will he be able to increase his score in the realization phase. In addition to goals, the Cesena winger also knows how to make assists: this season he has produced 4 (3 in Serie A and 1 in the Europa League).
For fantasy football lovers there is a very important fact that reaffirms the excellent championship that Mattia Zaccagni is doing. In the last 10 games he has always gone over 6,5 in fantasy voting (except for 5,5 against Inter). After the injury he is literally reborn: in these 10 matches he has scored 4 goals and 3 assists.
He can be a very interesting player even in a blue key. With Chiesa injured and Insigne in decline, Zaccagni can tell the story of him with the national team jersey. Now that he is gaining confidence with the goal, he is one of the best Italian offensive wielders at the moment and, given his identity card, he will be able to take away a lot of satisfaction also in the future.
