Juventus

The Italian Serie A is one of the top professional football leagues in the world and is home to some of the most successful clubs in the sport. Of all the teams competing in the league, Juventus undoubtedly stands out as one of the most dominant and well-known.

Founded in 1897, Juventus has long been a leader in Italian football, with 34 Serie A titles, nine Coppa Italia titles, and seven Supercoppa Italiana titles to its name. Additionally, Juventus also holds two UEFA Champions League titles, among other European accomplishments.

As of late, Juventus has become an even bigger powerhouse in Italian football. Since being taken over by Italian mogul Andrea Agnelli in 2010, Juventus has won eight consecutive Serie A championships, including the 2017-18 season.

In addition to their domestic success, Juventus have also reached three UEFA Champions League finals since then, though they have yet to win it all in Europe’s top competition. The current squad is one of the most talented and expensive teams ever assembled in Italy, led by Cristiano Ronaldo and featuring other stars like Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain.

With such a strong team and such a vast fan base around the world, there’s no doubt that Juventus will remain a dominant force in Italian football for years to come. To that end, they have already clinched their eighth consecutive Serie A title with games still left to play in the 2019-20 season, showing just how far ahead they are of the competition.

Napoli

Napoli is one of the top teams in the Italian Serie A and is home to some of the most talented players in the world. Led by longtime trainer Gennaro Gattuso, Napoli has been a consistent force in Italy’s top division, achieving impressive results and making deep runs in both domestic and European competitions.

The side features a host of world-class talent, including the forward Dries Mertens, Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly, and Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen. The team is renowned for its attacking style of play, which emphasizes possession and forward movement to create scoring chances. Since Gattuso’s appointment at the start of the 2019-20 season, Napoli has established itself as a top contender for both the Serie A title and European competitions.

In the 2020-21 season, the side set a club record by winning 17 of its first 18 matches, leading to a second-place finish and Champions League qualification. The team also reached the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia before losing in a dramatic penalty shootout against Inter Milan. Napoli’s success is due in no small part to their defensive solidity, with Koulibaly one of the best defenders in Europe.

His presence alongside midfielder Fabian Ruiz gives Gattuso’s side an enviable combination of experience and youth in their backline. Their attacking play is also smooth and effective, with Mertens and Osimhen leading the charge up front.

Midfielders such as Piotr Zielinski and Lorenzo Insigne provide creativity and energy from all parts of the pitch. The team has been able to sustain success this season despite numerous injuries to key players.

Insigne, who is considered Napoli‘s best player, has spent large chunks of the campaign on the sidelines with various ailments. Nevertheless, Gattuso’s men have displayed excellent depth this season and are well-positioned for continued success in 2021. With one of Europe’s strongest squads, Napoli are one of the top teams in Italy’s Serie A and are expected to remain so for years to come.
