James Conner was the overall leader of all fantasy players in week 9 of the fantasy football season. He scored 40 points and played extremely well. Lamar Jackson of Baltimore Ravens was the overall leader of the quarterbacks. In an overtime win against the Vikings, Lamar threw 2 touchdowns and ran for over 100 yards. In today’s review, we will take a look at the best performances in week 9. For the purpose of scoring PPR format has been used however standard leagues have more or less similar scoring ratios.

Key Takeaways

Josh Johnson replaced Mike White and ended up with an amazing performance. It must be a lucky month for the Jets’ QBs after Mike White did even better in week 8. Other highlights include Carson Wentz who has been showing a consistent form. He scored 24.18 points. Matt Ryan of the Atlanta Falcons played great as well. Justin Herbert and Lamar Jackson were the only QBs in week 8 who scored more than 30 points.

In week 10, there are no surprises because we are now at the point where past performances of the quarterbacks will be counted a lot. So, even though Mahomes and Allen didn’t make it to the top 10 still they are the most reliable QBs along with other tiers 1 QBs.

James Conner of the Arizona Cardinals topped the leader-board in week 9.

Takeaways After Week 9

James Conner has been playing really well. Selected as the Chase Edmonds’ backup, Conner’s performances in recent weeks have been praiseworthy. In the game against the 49ers, Conner exploded and rushed for 96 yards (his most in this season) while scoring 2 TDs. He also caught a TD through the air while receiving 5 catches for 77 yards. In other performances, Jonathan Taylor also did well. He is now considered in the top 3 in all formats of fantasy football. Nick Chubb was activated from IR and played great and it’s a shame that he will not be playing in week 10 due to COVID protocol.

In week 10 expect Jonathan Taylor to play well again. Delvin Cook has been in slight controversy lately, however, it shouldn’t impact his upcoming performance. But most fans are waiting for Christian McCaffrey to perform well. He has been really quiet. These are the ranking for upcoming week 10.

Week 9 belonged to the newcomers of the week. Most of the performances belonged to the wideouts who weren’t in the leaderboards before. Elijah Moore topped the wide receivers by scoring 27.4 points. DaVonta Smith of the Eagles scored 22.6 points while Olamida Zaccheaus, Darnell Mooney, and Marquis Brown scored just above 20 points.

In week 10 expect Tyreek Hill and Cooper Kupp to play well. Both of them should see lots of targets. Davante Adams will connect with Aaron Rodgers after Rodgers’ absence in week 9. However, weather conditions will be tough in Green Bay so expect a tough matchup.

Takeaways After Week 9

New TE from the Steelers was top of the board. Pat Freiermuth scored 21.3 points. George Kittle scored 20.1 points. It was a comeback game for the Kittle who remained out for half of the season and was activated from IR in week 9.

In week 10 the rankings aren’t changed much from the previous weeks as Kelece, Waller, and Andrews remain in the top 5.

Kelece remains the top TE in fantasy football across all formats.

New England Patriots have been showing steady performance through the weeks. They have had some tough matchups but they made most of it by showing great at defense by the following week. Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans also have been displaying some good defensive plays.

In week 10 Bills will be playing against the Jets and that’s why they are in the top 10. Other DSTs include Steelers, Cardinals, Colts, and Buccaneers.
